ZEISKAM

Cemetery in Zeiskam

We arrived in Munich at 6:30 am on Easter Sunday, picked up our rental car, and proceeded to drive across southwest Germany in search of the village of Zeiskam, the home of Dorothy's ancestors. She was hoping to find information about her ancestry, but we knew there was very little chance of doing that on a Sunday. To make a long story short, we found the village, we found the cemetery, and we met a delightful couple who were there tending a grave. In spite of the language barrier, they understood what we were looking for and took us to meet one of Dorothy's long lost relatives, then took us to their house for a lunch. Their names are Fritz and Maria and they made our visit to Germany very special.
